Penguin Diplomacy: the life of Brian Roberts, the man behind the Antarctic
Treaty
by June Roberts and Steve Heavens
Brian Roberts (1912-1978) was the largely unknown English polar expert who did more than anyone to bring about
the Antarctic Treaty that has served as a model of international cooperation and environmental protection for over
60 years.

The book is a paperback of 428 pages and contains 67 maps and line drawings, and 94
photographs, many of which are Brian Roberts' originals taken with a plate-glass camera. The book is
available from Mereo Books and via many other online retailers. See for example
Hay Cinema Bookshop.
